Being the last person to have lunch on the schedule sucks but it also means I don’t have to share the breakroom - which means art gets done.
Been working on this for about two days now, and I’m just moving to the background and picking a palette. Or at least narrowing down a palette lol~

Patreon

I know I’m a bit late signing up, but it wasn’t until I talked with one of my favorite artists that I decided to try.

I’m officially set up for Patreon, and while I don’t expect anything, I’m excited to say I’ve taken the step! I’ve been having some good vibes about my art career recently (despite feeling a bit down about it) and it looks like there may very well be a chance for me. I’d like to use Patreon as a baby step to making a living off of art solely.

I’d like to thank everyone who has gotten me this far with your kindness, patience, support, and encouragement. <3

Finally getting around to posting this!
I was digging through an old sketchbook from a year or so ago and found this sketch of Sadhana. I hadn’t worked on it in so long and after rewatching The Little Mermaid I decided to go ahead and finish it up. I worked on it off and on for about a week during my lunches at work. There are some progress shots here on my instagram - http://instagram.com/fossabossa
I’m really happy with the way this turned out even if the scanner killed a lot of the lighter details.

This has been a long time coming, I just didn’t know it until it nailed me in the face.
I’ve been sketching some very personal things since late last year and have been reluctant to share them until I was sure I was ready. The story behind that isn’t one for here, but what I can divulge is that while I consider myself to be multiple, this is how I choose to show myself - the container, the body, the essence, the amalgamation of all inside.
What you see is my body (idealized in some ways), with the head of a lion and the horns of a bull. Two powerful and meaningful symbols to me, two things that say a lot about me for people that know me.
Clutched in hand is a broken arrow and the gold sun rising. All of the jewelry save for the septum piercing are what I wear, the septum will be coming very very very soon (bday present to myself).
I am a Lion. Wake up and roar.

Happy Draw A Centaur Day! 8D
Actually managed to contribute a good sketch this year and the lucky candidate is Balrog. I haven’t drawn this butt ugly swamp monster in ages so I figured he’d be the perfect odd centaur for the day!

Figured I’d toss this up here!
Since I’ve changed my logo and vitae I needed to add the new logo to my site. Its currently down while the changes are being made but here’s a preview! And also a preview of my business card.

Last of the old sketchbook finds for now~
This one wasn’t too far back, it was done my senior year when all the stress had piled on. It was also around the time I got my twin coyote skulls, one of which is pictured. I was in my Media Installation class listening to the cluster of assholes and just working through everything by doing this.

I was digging through some of my old sketchbooks this afternoon and came across some drawings I never finished but thought they were worth sharing!
This one was done my freshman year at CCAD not long after transferring from the Art Institute back home. H’jad was a very constant figure in a lot of my work during those years and a large part of how I kept my sanity and didn’t just devolve into an amorphous blob of sickness and stress. This sketch in particular was for a class in 2008 as part of a larger project. It never got done but I think its strong enough even unfinished~
He and Saleeda have such a complicated relationship, it still is complicated, but they love each other.
